Corrigan Krause Intern Buddies 2026

Interns are an integral part of the Corrigan Krause team from day one. Our interns get a well-rounded, tax and audit experience, from basic work papers through completing personal and business returns, and they can work with real clients.

To start busy season off on the right foot, each busy season intern is paired with a buddy, a younger professional ready to mentor the next generation of public accountants.

Joseph Bub, Tax Intern, Cleveland State

Joseph Bub joined Corrigan Krause again as an intern in our tax department this past January. To prepare for this year’s upcoming busy season, he met with his busy season buddy, Hadyn Carreras, an associate in the tax department.

“Hadyn has been great at teaching me things that I did not previously know,” he says. “He has taught me that making mistakes is perfectly fine as long as I am learning, that is what matters most.”

Joseph’s favorite part about interning at Corrigan Krause has been the connections that he has developed with new people. His advice for the next busy season interns is to take it one day at a time. “Do not overwhelm yourself during busy season,” he says. “Quality over quantity.”

Cole Yuhas, Tax Intern, Cleveland State

Cole Yuhas joined Corrigan Krause as an intern in our tax department, additionally helping in our assurance department this past January. To prepare for this year’s upcoming busy season, he met with his busy season buddy, Kyle Shreves, a Senior Associate in our tax department.

Cole emphasizes how working with his buddy has improved his technical skills. “Kyle has helped me with a lot of technical advice regarding tax returns and has always had a positive attitude doing so,” he says.

Cole’s favorite part about interning at Corrigan Krause has been the people. “The wonderful people here at CK make my internship an enjoyable experience.” His advice for the next busy season interns is to stay positive, work hard, and create a system where you can balance school and work.

Halle Breudigam, Marketing Intern, Ohio University

Halle Breudigam joined Corrigan Krause as an intern in the marketing department this past January. To prepare for this year’s upcoming busy season, she met with her busy season buddy, Mary Varano, Marketing, Communications, and Growth Manager at Corrigan Krause.

“Mary has taught me a lot about the details that go into creating engaging content and about the importance of the marketing team’s role in communication with both the clients and employees,” she says.

Halle’s favorite part about interning for Corrigan Krause has been meeting the people who work here and the experience she’s gained. “Everyone is so kind and willing to help,” she says. “I’ve learned a lot and love the challenge of finding a more creative way to highlight something.”

Her advice to the next busy season interns is to not be afraid to ask questions and share your ideas. “Everyone is so supportive and wants to see you grow, so embrace the experience.”
