In 1994, Molly Stinn signed on to a small accounting firm now called Corrigan Krause. She wanted to join the team in building an accounting and consulting practice that would help build the communities they served. Over 31 years later, Molly’s passion for learning, mentorship, and service is now a legacy the Corrigan Krause team is proud to carry on.

Tom Harrison, President and CEO of Corrigan Krause joined the firm in 1997 and quickly realized how special Molly is.

“From day one, she helped me in so many ways” Tom Harrison said. “She was well versed in both tax and accounting and has always been willing to go above and beyond to assist every single person who has come through the door.”

She was a role model for all who walked through the door, he continued.

“Molly is a wonderful human,” Melissa Schwecke, Tax Department Administrative Lead and Executive Assistant, said. “She is a caring person and a great teacher.”

Melissa started at Corrigan Krause 27 years ago when she and Molly were both Associates.

“There were plenty of times Molly sat down to explain procedures as a new employee or how to do things for clients,” Melissa said. “She NEVER said she couldn’t help explain something even when she was swamped.”

It’s this kind of care that Tom Krause, Director and one of the founders of Corrigan Krause, recognized immediately when he hired Molly to organize and maintain the Assurance Services department at the firm.

“Molly is resilient for accuracy,” Tom Krause said. “If ever Molly was not sure on how to handle a particular financial situation for a client of the firm, she would work diligently to find the correct answer. She cared about the client and that the firm upheld the utmost professional standards.”

Lynda Doland, Director and lead of Corrigan Krause’s Estate, Gift, and Trust team, has worked with Molly for over 24 years.

“Molly set very high expectations for herself and worked her best to get everyone to meet her quality standards,” Lynda said.

Molly’s standards and organization are some of the first things Tommy Sustar, Director and current Assurance Service Department leader, noticed when he started at Corrigan Krause in 2020.

“Molly was part of my initial interview process. I remember asking her what types of things she planned to have me work on and she sent me a two-page list,” Tommy said. “I knew immediately she had a great plan for me. Shortly after I was hired, she started mentoring me, helping me to learn the various areas of ASD. She was instrumental in teaching me about leading the department and continues to do so now.”

Learning and development (L&D) was also a top priority for Molly throughout her career. So much so, that now Corrigan Krause proudly boasts an in-house learning and development department and coordinator.

“I had the privilege of working with Molly to see her vision for Corrigan Krause L&D come to light in the last year,” Kelly Stofko, HR Director at Corrigan Krause, said. “After years of hard work, we implemented an L&D system and hired an L&D Coordinator to continue to develop and enhance her visions of learning and development for CK and their employees, no matter what role they play at CK.”

As Molly transitions from Director to Principal this year, the entire Corrigan Krause team thanks her for sharing her knowledge and her unwavering support through all the growth our firm experienced in the last 30 years.

“I believe Molly has set up the Assurance Services department for success and today’s members have bought into the plan 100%,” Tom Harrison said. “She has left us with very capable current and future leadership.”

Thank you, Molly!
