    TAX MANAGER/SENIOR MANAGER - MEDINA OFFICE

    We are looking for a Tax Manager or Senior Manager to join our team in the Medina office. This position requires a highly motivated individual who has experience reviewing a variety of types of tax returns and a familiarity with and understanding of financial statements. The ideal candidate will have a specialization in corporate and tax consulting with experience advising clients on a full spectrum of corporate tax services. This opportunity involves handling multiple engagements, special projects, supervision and all traditional in-charge responsibilities.  Successful candidates will possess strong technical and leadership skills and the desire to participate in firm growth while serving on the front line with our clients.

    SUPERVISOR/MANAGER ASSURANCE SERVICES

    Due to growth, we are looking for a motivated professional to join our Assurance Services team at the manager level in our Westlake office. Successful candidates will possess strong technical and leadership skills and the desire to participate in firm and department growth while serving on the front line with our clients.

    The ideal candidate must possess experience with in-charge responsibilities on teams servicing business entities, employee benefit plans and not-for-profit organizations, including planning, supervision and review. The candidate must also have experience with in-charge roles on overall client service teams encompassing interim compilations, nontraditional financial reporting, general consulting and coordination with tax teams.  Candidate will assume in-charge responsibilities on audit, review and compilation engagements while working on client-centric teams.

    Basic Requirements: 

    • CPA is a must
    • Minimum 5 years recent public accounting experience
    • Candidate must exhibit strong technical skills, including working knowledge of current US GAAP and AICPA audit and compilation and review standards; experience with attestation standards is a plus
    • Experience includes performance of SSARS reviews and compilations in lieu of audits where an audit is not required
    • Prior tax compliance experience a plus
    • Strong verbal and written communication

    HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER

    We are looking for an HR manager to oversee human resource management practices at our firm.  Responsibilities include guiding and managing the overall provision of human resources services, policies, and programs to include staffing, training, performance management, and employee development.  May provide human resource management consulting services to external clients.

    Essential Functions:

    • Manage staffing process to include developing job descriptions, conducting recruiting planning meetings, developing and implementing recruiting strategies, and managing employee selection process from pre-screening interviews to performing reference and background checks. Assist in negotiating job offers and execute hiring process.
    • Establish pipeline of candidates through external networking with industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and internal employee connections.
    • Manage new employee orientation and onboarding.
    • Manage annual employee performance review process, including working with Managing Director and COO to administer all employee evaluations to ensure effectiveness and equity within the Firm.
    • Work with Managing Director to support creating a positive workplace culture through identifying opportunities for training or other initiatives that support employee development.
    • Oversee benefits administration, salary administration, and policy recommendation including maintaining Employee Handbook.
    • Ensure compliance with employment-related laws through consulting with management on employee management and discipline concerns, ensuring documentation of concerns, reviewing overall employment practices, and conducting appropriate training (i.e. harassment awareness).
    • Oversee voluntary and involuntary terminations, ensuring proper documentation and conducting exit interviews.
    • Maintain all employee records including recruitment records, employee files, and other required documentation.
    • Supervise Human Resource Management Assistant.

    Other Responsibilities:

    • Provide human resource management consulting services to external clients as requested. May include assisting in human resource policy development, coaching managers on employee management issues, and supporting the client’s hiring practices.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline
    • Five years’ experience in human resource management generalist position
    • Knowledge of human resource related laws and best practices
    • Effective organization and time management skills
    • Superior oral and written communication skills

    Preferred:

    • Experience working in a services profession environment (i.e. accounting, consulting, legal)
    • Experience working in a mid-sized firm (less than 100 employees)
