    Assurance Senior Associate

    We are looking for a Senior Associate to join our Assurance Services Department. The ideal candidate is an individual with 3-6 years’ public accounting experience, including compilation and review engagements, business tax preparation and planning, and individual tax preparation and planning.     Manager/Senior Manager Assurance Services

    Due to growth, we are looking for a motivated professional to join our Assurance Services team at the manager level in our Westlake office. Successful candidates will possess strong technical and leadership skills and the desire to participate in firm and department growth while serving on the front line with our clients.

    The ideal candidate must possess experience with in-charge responsibilities on teams servicing business entities, employee benefit plans and not-for-profit organizations, including planning, supervision and review. The candidate must also have experience with in-charge roles on overall client service teams encompassing interim compilations, nontraditional financial reporting, general consulting and coordination with tax teams.  Candidate will assume in-charge responsibilities on audit, review and compilation engagements while working on client-centric teams.

    Basic Requirements: 

    • CPA is a must
    • Minimum 5 years recent public accounting experience
    • Candidate must exhibit strong technical skills, including working knowledge of current US GAAP and AICPA audit and compilation and review standards; experience with attestation standards is a plus
    • Experience includes performance of SSARS reviews and compilations in lieu of audits where an audit is not required
    • Prior tax compliance experience a plus

This position requires a highly motivated individual with experience in reviewing a variety of types of tax returns and a specialization in corporate and tax consulting; advising clients on full spectrum of corporate tax services.     • BS or Master’s in Accounting or related field

    Internal Responsibilities


    • Assist in preparing and maintaining workstation, common areas, kitchen/beverage stations and conference rooms consistently/regularly.  Clean spaces and restock supplies (i.e. sugar jars, candy jars, pen/pencil cups, writing tablets) to ensure the space is neat, organized and ready for use (both daily and/or as turnover occurs).
    • Assist with general appearance of office, including walk around and compiling checklist for maintenance/janitorial issues or supply needs and placing with office manager.

    Office Services:

    • Provide primary 2nd floor Reception Desk coverage to include but not limited to answering phone calls, taking/relaying messages, greeting visitors, signing for deliveries, dealing with queries
    • Provide administrative support to staff on 2nd floor
    • Provide scheduling of conference room bookings
    • Support incoming/outgoing mail processing including USPS and UPS/Fed-Ex as needed
    • Provide Tax Processing as assigned
    • Provide Scanning for projects as assigned
    • Type correspondence, reports, labels and other documents as assigned
    • Cross-train in other team functions and provides back-up support to other positions as needed
    • Provide input and recommendations on process improvement

    IT Manager

    We are looking for an experienced IT Manager to join our team and support our firm! The ideal candidate will have between 3 and 7 years of relevant experience. A comprehensive list of expected responsibilities is as follows:

    • Manage and ensure the smooth and secure operations of all the company’s information technology functions and equipment including software, hardware, network operations, internet operations, phone system, mobile communications, internal audio\video needs and more.
    • Stay abreast of changes in technology, make recommend purchases of technology for beneficial solutions for day-to-day operations that will increase business efficiency, save money and accomplish strategic goals and objectives.
    • Communicate with other departments in the company about business needs.
    • Create, implement and enforce IT policies that support the efforts of other departments within the company.
    • Have authority for large-scale technology projects and assure their completion on time, according to budget and at an expected high level of quality.
    • Create and manage the company’s annual technology budget in conjunction with planning the lifespan of technologies, including anticipated upgrades and replacements.
    • Source computer hardware and software, including identifying vendors, negotiating and recommending purchasing decisions.
    • Oversee the monitoring and maintenance of IT assets across the company, including oversight of security protocols, backups and protection against viruses and internal\external breaches.
    • Coordinate efforts with facilities management staff on maintenance and security of sites where technology is deployed over a multi-office company.
    • Make technology and systems available around the clock; providing fast recovery when downtime is inevitable.
    • Establish disaster recovery or contingency plans to ensure business continuity along with testing of established protocols.
    • Hire contractors and outsource functions when necessary to ensure the company’s technology needs are met efficiently and effectively along with managing those relationships.
    • Identifying opportunities for team training and skills advancement by designing and conducting training programs and workshops for staff.
    • Running regular checks on network and data security in conjunction with systems monitoring protocols.
    • Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems including weekly application of software updates, patches, service pack applications, etc.
    • Developing and implementing IT policy and best practice guides for the organization.
    • Conducting regular system audits for compliance with licensing requirements.
